Olga Bruce is the Chairperson at the Chinese Language School of Fairfield County and within this role, she oversees the other committees and assists the principal, Ino Dunn, including marketing and fundraising.
Mrs. Bruce became interested in the Chinese School after having her two daughters, ages 8 and 5 at the time (fluent in Spanish) become passionate about learning Traditional Mandarin. At her full time job, Mrs. Bruce is responsible for investor relations, marketing, fundraising and public relations activities at Starwood Energy.
Mrs. Bruce holds a B.S. in Business Management from Albertus Magnus College and an MBA in Business Administration from Colorado State University.
Ino Dunn is the Teacher’s Representative of the Chinese Language School of Fairfield County. She has years of experience in teaching Chinese and she is currently teaching level 5 Xìn bān.
Ms. Dunn is also an officer of the Parent Company of the Chinese Language School known as OCAFC.
Ms. Dunn has a B.S. from National Chung Hsing University and an M.S. of Computer Science from City College of New York. In addition, she is a Software Engineer, IT Professional.
Katherine Zheng was born and raised in China. She immigrated to the United States when she was seventeen. Katherine lives in New Canaan with her husband. They have two children, a son (2nd grader) and a daughter (1st grader), both attending CLSFC. As a family, they enjoy skiing, hanging out with friends and traveling. Katherine is actively involved with her kids’ school and doing various extracurricular activities. She began serving as a PTA member since 2018 and looks forward to continuing her involvement with the PTA.
Professionally, Katherine is a CPA, she works full time at a private equity firm in Greenwich.
Mrs. Lisa Michniewicz has worked in finance since 2006. She holds an MBA with double majors in finance and strategic management. She is active in her son’s school and in a number of local civic organizations. Lisa is very supportive of her son’s interest in studying Mandarin Chinese.
She enjoys tutoring a number of elementary school students who find reading and math challenging, finding satisfaction in demystifying these fundamental skills for kids. She celebrates the beauty of different cultures and loves the diversity of all things.
Mrs. Lori Kwan has been on the board for several years. She has a 15-year-old son who graduated from CLS-FC and a 7-year-old daughter currently attending her 5th year at CLS-FC.
Mrs. Kwan’s experience is in the field of medicine and she is currently an Attending Physician at Anesthesia Service VA CT Healthcare System, West Haven, Connecticut. She is also Assistant Professor, Department of Anesthesiology at Yale School of Medicine, New Haven, CT.
